place in 1949. Clément Mathieu, an unemployed music teacher, accepts a position as supervisor at a boarding school for boys called “Fond de
l'étang”. The repressive system applied by the principal, Rachin, upsets Mathieu. By introducing these difficult children to music and
and choral singing, Mathieu transforms their daily lives.
